Recycling centre temporarily closed for essential maintenance
The Community Recycling Centre at Chaldon Road, Caterham, will temporarily close from 29 March 2016 for essential maintenance works, reopening to residents in mid-May.
The maintenance works are needed so that Surrey County Council can continue to provide a local recycling facility for residents. They include:
- Resurfacing and new road markings
- Replacing the fencing, site gates, kerbing, bollards, height barrier and container stops
- Repairing the boundary wall
- Updating the site office and staff welfare facilities
During the works, residents are asked to use the Community Recycling Centre at Horley Road, Earlswood.
SITA Surrey project manager, Beverly Sheridan said:
‘The works will ensure the recycling centre can continue to serve local residents. The site will close after the Easter bank holiday weekend, reopening in mid-May in time for the busy summer period.’
