New Revive Community Fund round opens with £17,500 available to support charities

SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ) and Surrey County Council (SCC) are pleased to announce the next round of the Revive Community Fund, which has now opened for applications. A total of £17,500 will be awarded to support community, health and wellbeing, and environmental projects across Surrey.

The Revive Community Fund is powered by Surrey’s five Revive re-use shops, which sell pre-loved household and garden items, diverting over 1,000 tonnes of reusable goods from disposal each year.

Since its launch in 2018, the Fund has raised over £85,000. This announcement follows the success of the funding round earlier this year, in which £17,000 was awarded to nine Surrey charities:

Weybridge Beekeepers (£2,449)
The Meath Epilepsy Charity (£3,000)
New Haw Litter Pickers (£500)
The Fountain Centre (£3,000)
Oakleaf Enterprise (£3,000)
Young Epilepsy (£1,500)
The Include Project (£2,996)
Elmbridge Community Eco Hub (£300)
Tice’s Meadow Bird Group (£300)

For the next funding round, registered charities in Surrey can apply for grants of up to £4,000. Eligible projects should focus on enhancing community life, promoting health and wellbeing, or delivering environmental benefits. Applicants must be formally constituted and operate as not-for-profit organisations.

Charities interested in applying must register on the ActionFunder platform, where eligible projects will be shortlisted and reviewed by representatives from SUEZ and Surrey County Council. Applications will close on 13 January 2025, with successful applicants notified shortly thereafter.
