Available from September onwards, the Team Repair Schools Programme promotes green skills through science, technology, engineering and design learning, using practical gadget repair activities to help young people develop valuable skills while understanding the importance of sustainability, resource conservation, reuse and repair.

As part of SUEZ’s commitment to supporting waste reduction and environmental education through its partnership with Surrey County Council, 15 free classroom sessions are being made available to Surrey schools. The programme has been designed to be easy for schools to deliver, with teachers provided with everything they need, including lesson plans, presentation materials, worksheets and fully equipped repair kits.

Through its partnership with Team Repair, SUEZ aims to inspire the next generation to embrace repair and reuse as part of a more sustainable future. Alongside funding the programme, SUEZ’s Partnership and Community Engagement Coordinator will attend sessions to support delivery and share insights into the important role that recycling, reuse and resource recovery play in protecting the environment.

“By giving students the chance to take apart, troubleshoot and repair everyday gadgets, the programme aims to spark curiosity, boost confidence and show how small actions can make a big difference in creating a more sustainable world,” said Grace Leech, Partnership and Community Engagement Coordinator at SUEZ.
