Community spirit shines at Earlswood Carnival with Revive Shop pop-up
Last month, the Earlswood Carnival brought the local community together for a vibrant, fun-filled day in support of the Scout group’s dream of a brand-new clubhouse.
The team from Earlswood Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) and the Revive re-use shop proudly represented SUEZ by hosting a pop-up shop filled with pre-loved treasures.
The shop sparked great conversations around the importance of re-use and how small sustainable choices can make a big impact.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees, the carnival overall raised over £6,000 for the Scouts – including from the Revive team’s shop and their donated “barrow of re-use,” which proved a hit in the raffle.
As the day came to a close, SUEZ team members stayed on to support the post-event clean-up. All the Scout leaders and volunteers said that having SUEZ there to litter pick at the end made a phenomenal difference in restoring the site to tip-top condition.
Commenting on the occasion, Reuse Area Supervisor for Surrey, Megan Rimmer, said: “It was fantastic to see the community come together in support of the Scouts, and we were proud to be part of such a positive local event. Not only did we raise funds through re-use, but we also helped show how small sustainable actions can make a big difference.”
A heartfelt thank-you goes to the wider SUEZ Surrey team for their support.
